Sanjana Kadam won the best porster award at EFP 2026!

Sanjana Kadam, a doctoral student from our laboratory, received one of two Best Poster Presentation Awards at the 11th European Federation for Primatology (EFP) Meeting, held in Montpellier, France, in 2026.

The poster, titled “Temporal Dynamics of Attentional Capture in Chimpanzees,” presented research examining how emotionally significant stimuli influence visual temporal attention in chimpanzees over time. The study used an Attentional Blink paradigm to investigate how different types of distractors affected the chimpanzees’ ability to detect a subsequent target.

The EFP meeting brought together primatologists and researchers working across diverse research areas. It provided a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, receive feedback, and build connections within the international primatology community.
